Bill Lentz holds Economics and MBA degrees from the University of California. His sales career began in 1972 with Exxon Mobil. In 1979, he took a six-year break to study and teach meditation. After moving to New Mexico in 1985, he sold Dale Carnegie Courses in New Mexico, where one of his customers was the Owner of The Firebird in Santa Fe. That relationship led to four years as a Specialty Hearth Retail Sales Manager in Albuquerque, seven years as General Manager of Firebird Distributing in Santa Fe, and another seven years as FPI’s Rocky Mountain Sales Manager. He finished his 30-year hearth career working as a Salesman, Author, and Sales Instructor at Lloyd Pugh & Associates from 2006 until 2017.
Bill and his wife, Vivian, have three adult children and three grandchildren. His two sons are self-employed. His daughter, Shasta, works as an Inside Salesperson at AES.
Over the years, Bill has consistently pursued his passion for writing both poetry and prose. He took up golf at age 11, and his game has marginally improved over the ensuing 64 years. His wish for everyone in the hearth industry is that their efforts and commitment be as fun and rewarding as his and Vivian’s have been.
Thanks so much for contributing to The Fire Time Magazine, Bill. Our entire community appreciates your wisdom, creativity, and generosity!
